    Lansdown, Bath mountain bike route

Jan 24, 2018 by Ian Carruthers | This post may contain affiliate links.

    Gnar gully!

    Lansdown Mountain Biking

Lansdown near Bath with the sick gully descent, so good we did it twice! Well we did have a bit of an excuse of a mission to find a dropped battery, but we didn't need much encouragement. The first descent is until halfway round and after a fair amount of climbing but when you get to it the rear is more than worth the effort, woods with bomb holes and jumps, gully descent with rocky drop offs (rollable if you want to) and then one final descent all the way back to the pub. The tops give great views of Bath and Bristol even more reason for making the effort of getting to the top.

The pub by the way does mega chips, proper big hand cut triple cooked beasts, made for refuelling after a ride. One word of warning though be careful leaving cars and valuables we did have an attempt on taking bike of the top of the car whilst having a post ride pint, remember to lock bikes and cars.
