A Cotswold Beauty Spot
Bibury is a charming, typically Cotswold, village just a short drive from "The Capital of the Cotswolds", Cirencester. An extremely popular tourist location, the picturesque Arlington Row cottages are probably one of the most photographed Cotswold scenes.
The ride starts off and ends in Bibury with it's amenities, there is usually an ice cream van in the village centre. It's not a very technical ride it's great for those just starting out, a family ride or just getting out and enjoying the Cotswolds. A typical Cotswold cross country route it holds up fairly well in all weathers, although in the depths of winters, some minor detours to avoid flooded rivers are required.
Mostly open double track with some single track and a fair amount of quiet roads. There is not a lot of climbing and the climbs are not challenging so it's not going to break you.
This ride is my go to when I want to get out but don't have time or inclination to go to far, it's not technical and doesn't have any big ups or downs. It is however a very pleasant ride on a nice summers day or evening, when you just want to get out on a chilled ride.
